The triumph of our country on the economic front is incomplete without showcasing our distinct cultural heritage. Not only the people from across the globe need be made aware of our cultural treasures and their significance but also the countrymen be instilled with sense of pride in our rich cultural heritage. Writer of these lines was startled to know while on a visit to Sarnath that many bricks and stones of over 1500 year old archeological marvels were ignorantly taken away by the villagers for petty usage and even by the then administration for use in the construction of two bridges over Varuna river and as ballast for a narrow gauge railway in 1898. It is understandable that had the importance of such cultural heritage been revealed to them, such destruction of these structures would not have taken place. The foundation comes up with the innate idea of publishing a Hindi monthly periodical ‘Sanskritik Vimarsh’ which is devoted to the sole idea of promoting and showcasing various facets of culture in authentic and interesting form. The magazine is slated to consist of articles by eminent authors, scholars, researchers and maestros. Illustrations, photographs on the subjects would be sourced inhouse by expert artists and photojournalists. The magazine would cover every conceivable form of culture such as Classical Music, Painting, Sculpting, Architecture, Dance, Folk Arts, Customs, Traditions, Cinema etc. There would be e magazine also, facilitating it to reach a broader audience base across the globe. By way of such periodic display, the jargons of intricate characteristics of our culture would be understood and appreciated by everyone, especially youth who would otherwise find such marvels as eccentric musings of a few prodigies. Overall, the magazine is ideated to be made a collector’s item, having an extended shelf life.

Furthering the idea of magazine, the Foundation would strive for establishing Portal, Website and Television Channel exclusively for showcasing Indian Culture. The cultural mingling and understanding would bridge the divide between North and South, East and West, often seen in the country. It would unleash the full potential of the country before the world. Such consistent spotlight on the distinguished forms of art, music and traditions would inculcate sense of nationalism among the countrymen. Display of unique aspects of our culture through the omnipresent internet would develop esteem of the world towards the country.

The culture is best expressed in music and dance. But it is felt that there is a wide gap between the common people and the finest forms of music such as Classical and Folk music pieces like Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, Tarana, Abhang, Baul, Kajri, Sohar, Kaharwa etc. and dance forms such as Kathak, Bharat Natyam, Kathakali, Mohani Attam, Kuchipudi, Kalbelia, Ghoomar, Garba etc. Priyamvada Foundation is blessed with the patronage of some of the finest virtuosos and maestros across the country. It is the resolve of the foundation to bridge the gap by providing the artists, both established and striving, a standard platform to showcase their talent and expertise and to hone their skills. It is understandable that such programmes would require substantial money and resources therefore the Foundation is poised to raise funds and assimilate a trained team for manifestation of the programmes in a big way all over the country and abroad without burdening the audience with hefty tickets or lowly shows.

The foundation is poised to prepare the next generation of such doyens of music and therefore workshops, shows, talk sessions etc. would be organized. Concept of ‘Sanskriti Vidyalaya’, a chain of Senior Secondary Schools, with exclusive focus on Music, Art forms and Sports would also be brought into shape.

The foundation would congregate a team of culture enthusiasts and with the concerted efforts, produce documentaries showcasing the popular and even oblivious aspects of culture on engaging and grand scale. Owing to the depth in research, craft of story telling and excellence of visuals, these documentaries would be of archival value.

A major part of the rich heritage of country has still not been showcased among the prospective tourists of across the world. Priyamvada Foundation takes the challenge to attract tourists by employing multi-pronged strategies. Starting from Uttar Pradesh, conducted and guided tours would be designed for every level of tourists, be they from within the country or from abroad. The foundation would be having ties with the tour and travels companies and within a short span, it would strive for setting up its indigenous tour and travel setup. Besides the well-known pilgrimage and tourists’ spots, such as Varanasi, Agra, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Mathura, Ayodhya, many oblivious places such as Sravasti, Kushinagar, Chitrakoot, Vindhyachal, Jhansi, Bithoor, Garhmukteshwar, Bateshwar, various wetlands and ecospots would be highlighted by way of Cultural Magazine, Programmes and Portal.

A nation stepping up the ladders to be a superpower must excel in the field of sports as well. Not only the professional sportsmen make the country proud by bringing the medals in international events but also the students, not performing so well in sports, get an edge in their respective fields owing to the learnings on the playground. However, it is noticeable that infrastructure at the primary and junior learning level is not conducive to identifying talents of sports. There is often a missing link between talent and the professional sports training centres as the children in rural areas are more likely to excel in the field of sports due to getting more leisure, space and less peer pressure while the stadiums, sports arena and coaching centres are often situated in the urban area. Due to this urban-rural divide, talents remain neglected. While the state of the art facilities set up in the urban areas wear deserted look due to limited number of sports enthusiasts off the urban masses, the fresh talent in the rural areas don’t get exposed to standard forms of the sports. It is no wonder that the country’s share of medals in International Sports events is no comparison to its vast population. The foundation is enthusiastic to explore this avenue also in big way. To begin with from UP, some schools are conceived to be set up mainly in rural areas with exclusive focus on sports. The students would be imparted training in their preferred games providing them with equipment and infrastructure, coping to international standards. Sufficiently trained coaches would be made available to such schools on a full-time basis and periodic camps would be organized under the guidance of expert coaches. The students with exceptional flair and diligence would be sponsored to get training in professional set up. In this way, the Foundation would work at the grass root level to unequivocally find out the talent in sports arena and to give them the required set up to hone their skills for reaching the professional level.
